実験室の条件下ではトリュフがセシウム137に対して驚異的な放射性物質耐性を示した。普通その他のきのこはこの放射性物質をよく吸収することが知られている。分析の結果、トリュフ内のセシウム137の含有量は1キロ当たり計2ベクレルで、これは最大安全水準の300分の1の量だ。
