South Korea’s nuclear safety commission says that an earthquake that hit the southeastern city of Pohang early Sunday had no impact on the safety of the nation’s 25 nuclear power plants and radioactive waste disposal facilities.
The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission on Sunday confirmed that no nuclear reactors issued earthquake alerts or stopped operations due to the four-point-six magnitude quake that occurred at 5:03 a.m. Sunday.
