山口県和木町の三井化学岩国大竹工場で起きた爆発事故を受け、文部科学省は17日、放射性廃棄物の劣化ウランが保管されている同工場の倉庫や周辺の放射線量を測定した。自然放射線量とほぼ同じで「問題はなく、外への汚染もない」とした。 (中略) 倉庫は4月22日に爆発したプラントの北西約500メートルにあり、40メートル西に住宅街が広がる。同社は触媒などに使った後の放射性物質の劣化ウランなどを200リットル入りドラム缶3379本(計約26・9トン)に保管している。 全文は劣化ウラン「問題ない数値」

原発事故調 菅前首相を28日に聴取 via nikkansports.com
国会が設置した東京電力福島第1原発事故調査委員会(国会事故調、黒川清委員長)は18日、菅直人前首相を28日の調査委員会で参考人として聴取すると発表した。聴取の模様は公開され、事故発生時に対策の指揮を執った前首相の発言に注目が集まりそうだ。菅前首相は事故発生翌日の昨年3月12日、ヘリコプターで第1原発に乗り込み事故状況を視察したほか、東電が原発から撤退の意向を申し出た15日未明には本店に行き「撤退したら東電は百パーセントつぶれる」と叱責(しっせき)した。 続きは原発事故調 菅前首相を28日に聴取
