原子力安全委員会は何をしているのか？　多くの人々がこう感じてきた。ようやく少しは表に出てきたが、安全委員長は、事故対策を「東電の自主性に任せていた」、耐震安全性は「割りきらなければ設計できなかった」と語った弁が報道されている。責任回避だ。 これまでの反省の上に立って、安全委員会が今後どう行動するかがいま問われている。原子力資料情報室は、原子力安全委員会に以下の対応を早急にすすめることを求める。 1. 今回の地震が他の地震の活動を早めるとの地震学からの指摘がある。とりわけ、東海地震 はいつ起きてもおかしくない時期に来ている。にもかかわらず、中部電力は運転を継続しながら、耐震安全性を強化するという。しかし、いま 原発震災が再発すればどうなるのか、その惨事はもはや疑いえない。同原発の耐震安全性強化のチェックとこの実施は浜岡原発を停止して行うように求めること。同時に、原子力安全委員会は耐震安全性および過酷事故への対応強化含めて早急に安全総点検をすること。 続きは『原子力安全委員会よ、口先だけの反省より、行動を起こせ ―原子力資料情報室からのメッセージ（4）』から。
