時効後も賠償に応じる考え 原発事故損害賠償 東電 via NHK

[…] 福島第一原発事故の損害賠償をめぐっては、当初、民法の規定どおり、３年が時効とされていましたが、避難生活を続けるなかで賠償を請求できないケースが多いとして、その後、時効を10年に延長する法律が成立しました。 原発事故から８年となり東京電力には時効後の対応について問い合わせが相次いでいるということです。 このため、30日、東京電力の賠償責任者が福島県庁で会見し「時効を理由に損害賠償を拒否することはない」としたうえで、時効の成立後も個別の事情を踏まえて請求に応じるかどうか判断していくという考えを明らかにしました。 東京電力は６年前、当時の時効だった３年を迎える前にも「時効を理由に賠償を断らない」という考えを示していましたが、延長された10年の時効に関する見解を明らかにしたのは今回が初めてです。 東京電力によりますと、先月末時点で損害賠償に応じた件数は個人や法人などを合わせて延べ290万件を超え、賠償額は９兆2000億円余りに上っているということです。 Read more.
