(2011年7月24日午前8時34分) 再処理でできる高レベル放射性廃棄物については地層処分が決まっている。六ケ所村の施設で一時貯蔵しているが、最終的にはガラスで固めたものを地下300 メートル以深の岩盤に埋設する計画だ。原子力発電環境整備機構(NUMO)が公募方式で進めているが、絵に描いた餅。反対に遭い可能性の調査すらできな い。 原子力政策の見直しで、核燃料サイクル計画が破綻すれば、「核のごみ」問題は新たな段階に入る。 視界不良の中、ある日米戦略が浮上した。経産省と米エネルギー省、東芝などがモンゴルに核廃棄物の貯蔵・処分場を建設する計画という。手に負えないごみを途上国に押しつけることが許されるはずもない。 「脱原発」より「脱核のごみ」が深刻な問題をはらむ。20、30年後にエネルギー新時代が到来してもツケの恐怖は続く。しわ寄せを食うのはいつも立地地域だ。(北島 三男) 記事全文は「脱原発」のツケ 誰が後世に責任を持つのか
