 【ニューヨーク=田中光】米国ペンシルベニア州ミドルタウンのスリーマイル島(TMI)原子力発電所は28日、米国内で最悪とされる事故から32年。AP通信によると、近くの住民ら約30人が原発前に集まり、「核反対」の横断幕を掲げた。また、福島第一原発の事故処理が続くなか、参加者はろうそくをともしながら、日本の被災者らに祈りを捧げた。  TMIの原発事故は1979年、稼働中の2号炉の冷却水がポンプ故障などで失われ、炉心が溶融。1週間にわたって8キロ以内の幼児と妊婦が避難し、16キロ以内の住民が屋内退避した。放射性ヨウ素の放出は限定的で、今のところ事故を原因とする近隣住民の健康影響は報告されていない。TMIでは、1号炉が現在も稼働中だ。 『スリーマイル事故から32年 近隣住民ら反原発の横断幕』

『「日当40万円出すから」 原発作業員 確保に躍起』 via 東京新聞

 危機的な状況が続く福島第一原発。その復旧作業は放射能、時間との闘いで、作業員の確保が急務となっている。東京電力の要請を受けた協力会社は、各地にいる作業員たちを呼び寄せようと躍起になっている。中には法外な高給を提示された作業員もいる。  「日当四十万円出すから来ないか」。福島県いわき市からさいたまスーパーアリーナ(さいたま市中央区)に避難している作業員藤田竜太さん(27)の携帯電話に、旧知の原発のメンテナンス業者から誘いが入った。  現場は福島第一原発。高給である以上、それだけ高い危険が待ち構えていることはすぐに分かった。電線の敷設作業をしている友人からは「おれ、もう被ばくしているかも」と聞かされた。  長男はまだ三つと幼く、妻(26)には新しい命が宿った。ためらいなく断った。藤田さんは、「五十代以上の人は高給につられて原発に戻っているらしい。でも、おれはまだ若いし、放射能は怖い。もう原発の仕事はしたくない」と語った。  一方、協力会社の男性社員(41)は、勤務先から「人が足りないから戻ってくれないか」と第一原発での作業を要請され、四月以降に福島に戻る。  男性は計測器を使ってそこが作業できる場所かどうかを調べるのが主な仕事。原発の現状からすると、まさにそこが最前線ともいえる。「特別な報酬があるわけではないが、危険な作業が待っているだろう。断ったら、恐らく会社にはいられない」と半ば強制だと受け止めている。  同県田村市の男性(58)によると、第一原発で働く知人の父に、「五十歳以上の人で原子炉近くに入ってもらえる人を探している。手当は普通より多く払うからお願いできないか」という電話がかかってきたという。  東京電力は現場の労務環境について、「放射線量が高いので、一人当たりの作業時間に限りがあるため、人員の交代が頻繁に行われている」と説明。また、「協力会社にお願いしながら人員を確保している。作業費は協定に基づいて協力会社に支給しているが、個々の金額についてはコメントできない」としている。 (社会部・堀祐太郎) (東京新聞) 『「日当40万円出すから」 原発作業員 確保に躍起』
