福島市が商業ビル建設『断念』発表　特別会計２億5600万円計上　via 福島民友

[…] 市役所で開いた１２月議会の提出議案発表に伴う臨時会見で示した。同事業は１９９８（平成１０）年度、ＪＲ福島駅東口近くの７０アールを対象に始まり、公共広場（街なか広場）と商業ビルを建設する計画だった。しかし、収益性の問題から商業ビル建設は進まず、市は地権者２人に対して建物移転に伴う賃料補償計約４億円を支払ってきた。 木幡市長は「結果として公益施設が実現できず残念。しかし今後を考えて決断した」と総括した。事業の完了に向け、地下構造物の解体工事や地権者への補償、区画再整備の費用として土地区画整理事業費特別会計に２億５６００万円を計上した。総事業費は約３０億円を見込んでいたが、当初より３億円増える見通し。 全文
