Aboriginal Australians have welcomed a British court ruling allowing UK veterans to sue their government for exposure to nuclear radiation.

Aboriginal Australians have welcomed a British court ruling allowing UK veterans to sue their government for exposure to nuclear radiation.

 

The exposure is alleged to have occurred during Britain’s nuclear testing in outback South Australia during the 1950s.

 

It’s hoped if ex-service personnel can prove they were harmed by the nuclear tests, others may be able to use that as a precedent for their own compensation.
