Report: U.S. Cannot Account for Nearly Three Tons of Nuclear Material Shipped Overseas via DemocracyNow

A new report has found the U.S. government cannot account for nearly three tons of nuclear material it has shipped overseas. According to the Government Accountability Office, the United States cannot confirm the whereabouts of some 5,900 pounds of highly enriched uranium and separated plutonium, enough material to make dozens of nuclear weapons.
