電力不足対策 節電と原発再稼働が不可欠だ(11月3日付・読売社説)via Yomiuri online
(抜粋) とはいえ、油断は禁物である。政府がホームページ上で紹介している節電方法などを参考に、引き続き省電力に心がけたい。来春以降も電力事情は厳しい。東電福島第一原子力発電所の事故後、定期検査で停止した原発の再稼働にメドが立たないからだ。ストレステスト(耐性検査)の遅れなどで、来春に全54基の原発が止まる可能性は高い。 政府は、全原発が止まったまま今年並みの暑い夏を迎えると、全国で9・2%の電力不足となると見込んでいる。今夏の2・7%より、かなり深刻だ。原発依存度が高い関電管内などでは、電力の使用制限を迫られる恐れがある。 そうした事態を回避するには、電力の供給能力を高めるべきだが、課題も多い。火力発電用の燃料価格が高騰し、電力各社の業績悪化を招いている。いずれ電力料金が上昇して、家計や企業生産の重荷となりかねない。 火力発電には、温室効果ガスの排出量が増える短所もある。太陽光や風力など再生可能エネルギーの普及促進が望まれる。しかし、短期間では困難だ。 経団連の調査で6割の企業が、電力不足が今後2~3年続いた場合、国内の生産を縮小・停止すると答えた。電力不足は、景気悪化や産業空洞化などで経済に打撃を与える。安全を確認できた原発から再稼働を急ぐ必要がある。 全文は節電と原発再稼働が不可欠だ(11月3日付・読売社説)

新たに15か所で高放射線量 東京・世田谷 via 日テレnews24
東京・世田谷区のスーパーの敷地から放射性ラジウムが見つかった問題で、放射線量の高い箇所が新たに15か所見つかった。 文科省などが2日、地中に埋まっていた瓶と周辺の土を掘り起こして撤去したところ、瓶が埋まっていた箇所の放射線量は一時間あたり25マイクロシーベルトまで下がった。瓶の中には茶褐色の塊が入っていて、文科省はこの物質が放射線源のラジウムと断定した。 続きは新たに15か所で高放射線量 東京・世田谷
