The Japanese radiation tragedy at Fukushima nuclear power station reminds us that Illinois is the most nuclear-reliant state in the U.S. We don’t have to be! Can we have a non-nuclear energy future in the U.S.? To quote a local, “Yes, we CAN!”

Despite 30 years of promises to build more renewable energy – which polls show 76% of the public support over new nuclear – Exelon, President Obama, Sens. Kirk and Durbin still talk “more nuclear”. Call them! Tell our rulers: It’s time to end the Nuclear Follies! No more nuclear power; build renewables!

President Barack Obama: 202-456-1414

Sen. Mark Kirk: 312-886-3506

Sen. Richard Durbin: 312-353-4952

Gov. Patrick Quinn: 217-782-6830

If you can’t come, make the calls. Tax deductible donations are welcome, and can be made by clicking the link below in the signature. If you can send Exelon/Com-Ed 12 payments a year to support nuclear, please consider sending us one contribution per year to support a safe-energy future. Thanks in advance!
