福島県内「環境回復」…大幅に速く チェルノブイリと『比較』via 福島民友新聞
筑波大や福島大、日本原子力研究開発機構(JAEA)などの研究者でつくる国際研究チームは28日、東京電力福島第1原発事故で県内(陸地)に放出された放射性物質の減少速度が旧ソ連のチェルノブイリ原発事故後よりも大幅に速いことが分かったとの研究成果を発表した。 放射性セシウムが時間の経過とともに地下に浸透していく速度はチェルノブイリ周辺の2~4倍に上った。日本はチェルノブイリ周辺よりも雨が多く地形の傾斜が急であり、水の循環が速いことに加え、日常生活が続けられたこと、除染が行われたことなども影響した。 研究チームは28日付で英科学誌ネイチャーのオンライン専門の姉妹誌「ネイチャー・レビューズ・アース&エンバイロメント」に発表。「福島の環境回復を取りまとめた成果の決定版として世界に広く発信することができた」としている。 原発から80キロ圏内の陸上と阿武隈川流域での放射性物質の動きに関する210本以上の論文を検証し、地面や河川、森林での放射性物質の動きのメカニズムを調べた。水田の表土2センチの放射性セシウムの濃度は事故後3年で7~9割減少した。チェルノブイリ周辺の草地などと比べて減るのが速く、空間放射線量や河川の放射性セシウム濃度の低減にもつながった。 淡水魚汚染も小さく 一方、河川に溶けた放射性セシウムの濃度はチェルノブイリ後の欧州の河川よりも1~2桁程度低い値にとどまった。放射性セシウムの地下への浸透速度が速く川に溶け出しにくかったためで、研究チームは「淡水魚の汚染はチェルノブイリよりはるかに小さい」と指摘した。 (略) 研究には、JAEA福島研究開発部門廃炉環境国際共同研究センターの吉村和也研究主幹や福島大環境放射能研究所の脇山義史講師らが加わった。 全文は福島県内「環境回復」…大幅に速く チェルノブイリと『比較』
