If you think Big Energy can be held accountable for radiation poisoning you on a Fukushima radioactive golf course, in your food, your life, the battle might be even more difficult then ever. During court proceedings about a radioactive golf course, Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) “stunned lawyers” when it said the utility was not responsible for decontamination because it no longer “owned” the radioactive substances, an insult to human rights to health.
“Radioactive materials (such as cesium) that scattered and fell from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant belong to individual landowners there, not TEPCO,” the utility said.
