［国連　３１日　ロイター］ – 国際原子力機関（ＩＡＥＡ）は３１日、２０１１年に起きた東京電力(9501.T)福島第１原発メルトダウン事故の影響から、子どもの間で甲状腺がんが増加することはなさそうだとする報告書を公表した。 報告書は「事故に起因すると報告された甲状腺線量は総じて低いため、事故による小児の甲状腺がんが増加することはなさそうだ」と説明した。 「しかし、事故直後の子どもの甲状腺等価線量に関する不確実性は残った」とし、原発周辺の子どもがどの程度被ばくしたのか正確には分からないままだと指摘。事故直後の信頼できる個人の被ばくデータが不足していることが主な原因だとした。 また、「細かな準備が整っていなかったことを主な原因」として、子どもの甲状腺を保護するための「安定ヨウ素」の投与が一律に当時実施されなかったことも不確実性を強めているとした。 続きは　福島原発事故、子どもの甲状腺がん増加はない見通し＝ＩＡＥＡ
