汚染水説明理解されず 五輪招致 海外記者「失望した」 via 朝日新聞
東京招致委にとって、汚染水事故への海外の厳しい見方は想像以上だった。 五輪招致、汚染水漏れで東京守勢特集「東京五輪招致」 「水や食べ物は安全」「住民は普通に生活している」「東京は全く問題になっていない」――。招致委は8月下旬、想定問答を作った。政府が3日、計470億円の対策を発表すると「これで説明できる」と余裕も見せていた。 だが、現地初の記者会見で海外メディアの質問6問のうち4問が汚染水対策に集中し、竹田恒和理事長は答弁に困窮。「厳しい。この説明では納得してもらえないのか」。招致関係者は国内外の温度差を感じた。 会見に出た海外の記者は「失望した」「意図を理解しない答え」と突き放した。東京と福島の距離を強調する姿勢に「東京だけ安全ならいいとも聞こえ、福島の人々への配慮が足りないのではないか」との声もあった。 質問の口火を切った、IOC委員の多くが読む五輪専門サイト「インサイド・ザ・ゲームズ」の英国人記者ダンカン・マッケイ氏は「東京の答えはいつも同じ。(福島との距離)250キロというのはないに等しい。IOC委員を説得できるとは思えない」と語った。「東京の2020年五輪招致は福島の影に」(AFP通信)などと伝えられた。 続きは 汚染水説明理解されず 五輪招致 海外記者「失望した」(記事全文を読むには無料会員登録が必要です)

東京電力福島第1原発で相次いでいる汚染水事故で、政府の原子力災害対策本部(本部長・安倍晋三首相)が3日に了承した国費470億円の投入方針のうち、今年度予算の予備費使用は、首相官邸と経済産業省が8月中旬から財務省抜きで検討を進めていたことが分かった。予備費210億円を充て、原子炉建屋への地下水流入を防ぐ凍土遮水壁の建設や汚染水処理装置の増設・改良計画を前倒しで進める姿勢を演出した。汚染水問題に海外の関心が高まる中、2020年夏季五輪への影響などを懸念し、対策を急いだとみられる。 「汚染水問題を含め、福島第1原発の廃炉を実現できるか否か、世界中が注視している。政府一丸となって解決にあたる」。首相は3日の対策本部でこう強調した。汚染水の海への流出は8月7日の対策本部で議題になったが、その後も19日に貯蔵タンクからの漏れが判明。英BBCが「汚染水の量は(日本政府と東電に)信じ込まされてきた数値よりはるかにひどい」という専門家の意見を紹介するなど、欧州を中心に海外メディアの批判が強まった。 国際オリンピック委員会(IOC)委員の4割強は欧州出身。民主党の海江田万里代表は26日の記者会見で「隣国の韓国やロシアだけでなく、欧州も大きな関心を持っている。五輪招致の問題に影響する可能性がある」と指摘した。 続きは 福島第1原発:汚染水問題 対策、五輪を意識 財務省抜き、急いだ官邸 「票田」欧州、批判強まり
