Dear friends and followers of the Persian Circle,

Welcome back to another year of exciting talks, presentations, and discussions! My name is Cameron Cross and, with the help of my co-conspirator Maryam Sabbaghi, I’ll be managing the program for this year. If any of you are new, the Persian Circle is a weekly event that takes place at the University of Chicago, where we host local and visiting scholars, artists, intellectuals, and researchers to come and share their interests with us in an informal and informative series of lectures in Persian. Our weekly meeting time this year will be Wednesdays, 5:00–7:00pm in 218 / 222 Pick Hall, 5828 South University Avenue. Below is a list of our upcoming speakers:

  • 10/2/2013: Farrokh Asadi
  • 10/9/2013: Richard and JoAnn Beal
  • 10/16/2013: Maryam Sepehri & Anita Alkhas
  • 10/23/2013: Kaveh Ehsani
  • 10/30/2013: Richard Payne
  • 11/6/2013: Mehrnaz Saeedvafa

Individual announcements for each speaker will be posted the week prior. I look forward to seeing you, and stay tuned for updates!

Mokhles,
Cameron (کامران)
