阿凡提坐在河边。有人问他:“阿凡提,人人都说你能掐会算,那么你说说,如果用一个桶来装这条河里的水,能装几桶?”阿凡提回答说:“如果这条河跟那个桶一样大的话,这条河里的水就只能装一桶;如果那个桶是这条河的一半大的话,这条河里的水就能装两桶。”

阿凡提坐在河邊。有人問他:“阿凡提,人人都說你能掐會算,那麼你說說,如果用一個桶來裝這條河裏的水,能裝幾桶?”阿凡提回答說:“如果這條河跟那個桶一樣大的話,這條河裏的水就只能裝一桶;如果那個桶是這條河的一半大的話,這條河裏的水就能裝兩桶。””
