Mahmoud Saeed, a well-known Iraqi author and longtime friend of Arabic Circle, recently gave a presentation on the practice of hijab in the pre-modern Arab world, especially as reflected in the works of the medieval artist Yaḥyá ibn Maḥmūd al-Wāsiṭī.
