Humanities Day: Immerse Yourself!

JOIN US SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 to immerse yourself in a day of intellectual inspiration and artistic expression celebrating the 32nd annual Humanities Day at the University of Chicago.

From the Department of Music:
Robert L. Kendrick, Professor of Music, presents “Montezuma: The Conquest of Mexico in Baroque Opera” in Fulton Recital Hall at 9:30 am.

Martha Feldman (pictured left), Mabel Greene Myers Professor in the Humanities and Chair of the Department of Music, presents the keynote address, “Castrato De Luxe: Blood, Gifts, and Goods in Early Modern Singing Stars” in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel at 11:00 am.

Philip V. Bohlman, Mary Werkman Distinguished Service Professor of Music and the Humanities in the College, presents “The Biggest Music Spectacle in the World: The Eurovision Song Contest” in Fulton Recital Hall at 3:30 pm.
