Shapes, Symbols, and Colors

Newly-hired University Wind Ensemble Music Director and Conductor, Chip De Stefano, is creating a buzz with his innovative programming. This Sunday’s concert is no exception.

With guest soprano Alexandra Deis-Lauby on Frank Ticheli’s Angels in the Architecture, De Stefano shows his confidence in the ensemble and a dark side to the afternoon’s program which includes Karl King’s “clownish” True Blue, J.S. Bach’s well-known Prelude and Fugue in B-flat minor, and Roger Cichy’s rhythmic Geometric Dances.
