Intro: Spektral (Quartet)

With its debut applauded as one of the Top 5 classical performances of 2010 by TimeOut Chicago (Mia Clarke, Opera & Classical), the Spektral Quartet launches its second major performance of the season with Embark. Part travelogue, part confessional, part existential odyssey, Embark traipses through the Italian romps of Hugo Wolf, the elusive Paradise of Thomas Adés and the sometimes tortured biography of Bedřich Smetana.
