Tenor Saxophonist Dr. David Lee Grilly joins the Jazz X-tet for a performance in Fulton Recital Hall tonight at 8PM. The ensemble plays “Tuning Up” by Manchuria-native, bebop pianist Toshiko Akiyoshi and “Without You – No Me,” “Ellington’s Stray – Horn,” and “Gingerbread Boy” by hard bop saxophonist Jimmy Heath.

Author and musician, David Grilly, is the co-leader of an award winning jazz ensemble the Grilly Brothers Sextet. He has performed at the Chicago Jazz Festival, Chicago Fest, The Jazz Showcase, Civic Opera House, Medina Temple, Lincoln Center (NYNY), Madison Square Garden (NYNY), Shrine Auditorium (LACA), Capital Hill Band Shell (Washington DC), and various local theater productions.
