Postdoctoral Scholar in Dept. of Ecology and Evolution Wins Piano Competition

Paul Wang, a University member and student of Svetlana Belsky, Lecturer and Director of the Piano Program, has recently won 2nd prize in the overall in the 2010 Chicago Amateur Piano Competition and /the/ prize in same for Best Romantic Performance. 60 contestants from 6 countries competed in this competition, which took place from June 24th-27th at Sherwood Community Music School at Columbia College Chicago. The competition was the first ever amateur piano competition in the Midwest and was presented by the PianoForte Foundation.

Paul Wang is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Ecology and Evolution, but has also found time to be very active in our Piano and Chamber Music programs.
