Members of the Department of Music reconvened on Thursday, September 23rd to welcome the new academic year. Hailing from across the US, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, and South Korea, ten new graduate students were also welcomed. Martha Feldman, Department Chair, briefly highlighted some major accomplishments of the past year (several job placements, national and international fellowships, dissertation year awards, etc.) before giving the floor to exceptional voices from the Early Music Ensemble. The food was excellent, drinks refreshing, and atmosphere exhilarating; great stories of recent adventures were recalled and great schemes for the next year were drawn.
