Rhythmic clapping, percussive speech, and kazoos

You’ve probably never attended a performance like the Noontime Concert, Rhythm, etc., on Thursday, June 2 at 12:15 PM in Fulton Recital Hall.

John Cage

Students from Amy Briggs’ Musicianship class will gang up with conductors from Barbara Schubert’s conducting class to perform Steve Reich’s “Clapping Music”, John Cage’s “The Story”, and Louis Andriessen’s “Workers Union.” (Watch the awesome Bang on a Can All-Stars perform Andriessen’s piece here.)

Come hear what one observer said sounded like “a bunch of ducks having an [blank].” (Actual word omitted…but it means ‘festivity’.) We can’t think of a better way to conclude the NTC Series than out with a BANG!
