Enjoy Memorial Weekend in style at the Annual Cathy Heifetz Memorial Concerts on Saturday, May 28 at 8 PM and Sunday, May 29 at 3 PM in Mandel Hall.

The University of Chicago Symphony Orchestra and combined choirs conclude their season with two spectacular performances of 19th-century German and Italian operatic masterpieces by Weber, Wagner, Leoncavallo, Puccini, Mozart, and Verdi, plus Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier Suite.  The program features two Chicago-area favorites: soprano Winifred Faix Brown of the MET and Lyric Opera, and mezzo-soprano Jessye Wright.  Barbara Schubert conducts.
