Explore tragic emotion in art and music during a free concert this Sunday at the Smart Museum of Art.

Listen to song settings and chamber pieces by Purcell, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, and Britten during a free performance featuring Adam Liebert (violin), Amy Briggs (piano), and student musicians in the University of Chicago’s Chamber Music Program. The works were selected in response to the Smart Museum of Art’s exhibition The Tragic Muse: Art and Emotion, 1700–1900.
