The Humanities in Difficult Circumstances – A Conference Featuring the Darfur/Sudan Clemente Course Faculty
Please join us for a remarkable conference about the situation of the humanities in Darfur/Sudan.
Our discussion will feature a number of distinguished individuals prominently involved with the Clemente Course in the Humanities being run in Darfur/Sudan for people who have been displaced by the conflict there and will touch on some of the Environmental Issues contributing to the crisis in Darfur.
Our distinguished guests include: Dr. Mutasim Mustafa, Facutly of Education, Alzaiem Alazhari University; Dr. Ismat Mahmoud Ahmed, Faculty of Philosophy, Khartoum University; Dr. Rashid Diyab, Dara Art Gallery; Dr. Idris Yousif Ahmed, author of “The Fur Language”; Mr. Abdelbagi Jibril, Executive Director of the Darfur Relief and Documentation Centre; Dr. Mohamed Abdallah El Doma, President of the Sudan Lawyer’s Guild; Ms. Huwaida Medani, Educator; and Mr. Earl Shoris, Foder of the Clemete Course in the Humanities.
