This week we are joined by Zeinab Vessal. Zeinab is an independent scholar in the history of Islamic art and material culture. Her research interests include early-modern Islamic painting, materiality, and Shia art and culture. She holds BFA and MFA degrees in Graphic Design from the University of Tehran College of Fine Arts and Tarbiat Modares University Department of Arts.
In this talk, she aims to investigate historic and religious matters of inscribed banners by the name of “Rayat-e-Nasr Ayat” (victory banners) in the context of Safavid iconographic paintings (from the late 15th to 19th century).

برای نخستین برنامه انجمن سخن با ما همراه باشید! سخنران این هفته خانم زینب وصال هستند. خانم وصال پژوهشگر مستقل در حیطه هنر اسلامی و فرهنگ مادی اسلامی است. زمینه های علاقمندی او نقاشی و آثار هنری اسلامی و فرهنگ و هنر شیعی در اوایل دوران مدرن میباشد. او دانش آموخته کارشناسی گرافیک از دانشگاه تهران و کارشناسی ارشد از دانشگاه تربیت مدرس میباشد. ا
در این پژوهش او تاریخ و زمینه های دینی شکل گیری یک نوع از پرچمهای خوشنویسی شده با نام رایات نصر آیات را در دوران صفوی و بروز آنها در نقاشیهای این دوران به عنوان علامت و نمادی شیعی مورد بررسی قرار میدهد. ا
