Michael Kremer Named the Mary R. Morton Professor in Philosophy

Michael Kremer has been named the Mary R. Morton Professor in Philosophy and the College, joining five other University of Chicago faculty members in receiving named appointments in May. Kremer has published numerous articles on logic, philosophy of language, and early analytic philosophy. His current research projects include work on the 19th-century mathematician and philosopher Gottlob Frege and the early 20th-century philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein.

Kremer is the recipient of a 2009-2010 Franke Institute fellowship and the 2008 Quantrell Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching.
