Court Theatre receives 3 Jeff Awards, Exciting Season Ahead

The Court Theatre received three awards at the 42nd annual Jeff Equity Awards ceremony held on October 25 . In addition to awards received for costume design and lighting design, Mary Beth Fisher won the award for “Best Solo Performance” for her portrayal of  Joan Didion in The Year of Magical Thinking.   Established in 1968, the Jeff Awards are committed to celebrating the vitality of Chicago area theatre by recognizing excellence through its recommendations, awards and honors.  The Court Theatre received an impressive eighteen Jeff Equity Award nominations earlier in the year, and each of the theatre’s productions from the 2009-2010 season received at least one Jeff nomination.  To read more about the Jeff Awards please click here.

The Court Theatre’s 2010-2011 season opened in September with The Comedy of Errors; the next play, Home, directed by Ron OJ Parson, will run from November 11 through December 12.  In addition to season ticket packages, the Court Theatre also offers a number of student discounted tickets, including free tickets to select performances as well as rush tickets and advance tickets.  To learn more about these opportunities in addition to the upcoming season, please click here.
