Victor A. Friedman Honored by the Bulgarian Studies Association

Victor A. Friedman, Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities, Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures, was recently honored along with co-authors Christina E. Kramer, Grace E. Fielder, and Catherine Rudin by the Bulgarian Studies Association’s Book Prize Committee for their translation and editing of Bai Ganyo: Incredible Tales of a Modern Bulgarian by famed Bulgarian writer Aleko Konstantinov.

The Bulgarian Studies Association is a non-profit scholarly organization affiliated with the Association for Slavic, East European, ?and Eurasian Studies.  It promotes the study and exchange of knowledge about all aspects of Bulgaria and Bulgarians, including language, literature, culture, history, politics, economics and international relations.
