Alessio Franko is a third year undergraduate at the University of Chicago majoring in Media Studies with a minor in German Language and Literature. He has worked extensively in theater as an actor, sound designer, and director with HB Studios and The Wooster Group as well at UChicago. Alessio is interested video editing and audio/visual synchronicity as forms of communication and has independently produced several montages and film shorts exploring these concepts. He has recently begun to focus his creative and theoretical work on Television.
Tabletop games and card games have ritualistic significance to Alessio. His interest in the relationship between game rules and social rules motivated him to work as a Design Lead on "The Project" with Patrick Jagoda. He hopes to further develop his understanding of how games mediate and communicate ideas.
