The Game Changer Chicago (GCC) Design Lab within the Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation (Ci3) is a new hands-on space for experimentation and game-based project development. The Design Lab will continue Ci3's commitment to complex problems affecting the health and well-being of communities, with a particular focus on the sexual and reproductive health of urban youth. Projects will be taken on by one of four teams composed of undergraduate, graduate and high school students working in collaboration with Design Lab staff and faculty. Teams will propose and take part in specific projects to which they will apply narrative, game-based, art, and technological solutions through a process of iterative design and development.
We are currently seeking graduate, undergraduate, and high school students interested in being Design Lab Fellows. We are seeking Fellows with a wide range of skills and interests, including: game design, technology, web design, filmmaking, writing, business development, computer science, social sciences, theater, youth education, and reproductive health policy. Each fellow will be asked to make a one-year commitment to the Lab and will receive a stipend for their participation.
If you are interested in becoming a GCC Design Lab Fellow, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before March 15, 2013 and/or attend an information session Tuesday, March 5th at 12pm at the Regenstein Library, Room A11.
