On Wednesday, April 15th, from 1:30pm-2:30pm, Christopher Skrable, Associate Director of the University Community Service Center (UCSC), will give a presentation on the Chicago Studies and Chicago Course Connection programs. Joining Chris will be recent recipient of Course Connection grants: Kinga Kosmala (Lecturer of Polish), Valentina Pichugin (Senior Lecturer of Russian), Ana Lima (Senior Lecturer of Portuguese), and Alice McLean (Lecturer of Portuguese and French), who will talk about their grants, the activities they fostered, and student’s experiences in Chicago’s neighborhoods.
As you plan for your courses for the summer and next academic year, the UCSC invites you to take advantage of the resources of the Chicago Studies Program. The goal of Chicago Studies is to help you and your students make connections between coursework and the wealth of resources available in the city of Chicago, in the form of guest speakers, field trips, or experiential learning projects. In addition to providing consultation and logistical support, UCSC also offer Chicago Course Connection grants to defray expenses.
Seating is limited, so let us know if you will attend––please send your reservation to Michael Berger — email@example.com.
