Steven Clancy, Senior Lecturer in Slavic Languages and Literatures and Academic Director of the the Center for the Study of Languages, will demo two programs and how they can be used in the foreign language classroom. The first is “Prezi” an innovative way to create presentations (à la Powerpoint or Keynote) for use on laptops or iPads. The second is “Soliloquy”, an iPad App that is being jointly developed by the CSL and IT Services here at the University. Soliloquy will enable students to listen and respond to recordings that have been distributed by their teachers, and then submit the results to their teachers.
If you are interested in exploring new ways to use laptops and iPads in class, we encourage you to attend this presentation.
