Submission Guidelines

We welcome proposals from all scholars working on issues of cinema, media, nature, and the environment. We actively encourage submissions from scholars outside the disciplines of cinema and media studies. We also welcome interdisciplinary efforts from any and all disciplinary backgrounds.

Paper proposals are due no later than January 4, 2009.

Please email proposals to, with the subject heading, “Paper Proposal.”

Please include in your proposal an abstract of no more than 300 words, your name, institutional affiliation, and contact information. If included as an attachment, please be sure to save your proposals in a common format (good: .rtf, .doc; bad: .pdf, .docx).

Papers will be selected anonymously. Any identifying information will be removed prior to consideration for inclusion in the conference.

You should be notified as to whether your paper has been selected no later than February 1, 2009.
