This delegation of 5 investigative journalists will be in Chicago as part of the Open World Program through the U.S. Congress and hosted by WorldChicago.

Come hear from our visiting experts!  Most individuals working in the media agree that freedom of the press in Kyrgyzstan has improved since April 2010. Still, the traditional media in Kyrgyzstan has great challenges in serving as watchdog organizations and performing investigative functions.

Yuri Rost in Chicago, April 11

Photographer, writer, world traveler, and journalist Yuri Rost has documented many historic events–the Munich Olympics, the 1988 Armenia earthquake, the April 9 tragedy in Tbilisi–and will be in Chicago on April 11 to present his work, share his experiences, and answer any questions you may have.

Time: 6pm, doors open at 5:30pm
