7pm: Dance & Dreams Discussion
Hedwig Dances and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs present the fourth annual Dance for the Camera festival featuring dance films that blur the lines between reality and dreams. Co-curated by Jan Bartoszek, Artistic Director of Hedwig Dances, and Sarah Best, independent artist and curator, this selection of dance films arouses, puzzles, frightens, and delights. Expressing fears and desires, the films demonstrate that poetic work can often contain deeper meaning and more clarity than narrative work.
