Trip to St. Petersburg, May 15-23, College of DuPage

Journey to St. Petersburg, Russia and visit the city that Peter the Great founded in 1703 as his “Window to the West.”  Explore the richness of Russian history by touring historical sites, museums, area palaces and nearby Novgorod.

The itinerary will include tours of Peter and Paul Fortress, the Hermitage, Catherine Palace, Church on the Spilled Blood, a Russian cultural event, and much more. (The specific itinerary is still being finalized).  Travelers will stay in the Hotel St. Petersburg (a three-star hotel) on the picturesque Neva River.

The fee for this trip/class is $3450 that includes airfare, hotel accommodations (double room, single extra), visa service, some meals, most entrance fees, and ground transportation (in Russia).  Tuition is extra for one 3-semester hour class.  Approximately five class meetings will be held during spring term – date and time TBD.

Note:  This trip/class will only be visiting St. Petersburg, area palaces and Novgorod.  It will not be going to Moscow.
