New Science Laboratory Opens at Lady Barn House School

Yesterday was another step forward for learning at Lady Barn. We held the grand opening of our brand new Science Laboratory. Over the summer our previous Science Room was dismantled and a team of educational architects fitted a made to measure science facility. Our vision for the subject is for pupils to enter their new science lab as scientists and experience hands-on learning like real scientists. We are now one of the only schools in the country with a “state-of-the-art” lab built for the exclusive use of primary aged pupils!

The furthering of our relationship with the National Nuclear Laboratory has been closely linked with the development of our new facility.  Miss Braidford, Head of Science, has planned many new and exciting opportunities for our pupils.  The intention is that they will learn through a broad range of new experiments and other projects and they will benefit from the specialist expertise of the young scientists from the National Nuclear Laboratory.
