In Asia, despite Japan’s recent nuclear crisis, nuclear production is ramping up.

China, Vietnam and Malaysia are all looking at nuclear energy for the future.

Indonesia is poised to build its first nuclear power plant off Sumatra’s east coast. The government says the site is safe despite Indonesia’s geographical location. It sits on the volatile volcanic Pacific Ring of Fire and experts warn that a repeat of the 2004 tsunami could cause a catastrophic disaster.
