New Media Workshop

The New Media Workshop begins the 2008-09 academic year this Friday from 10:30 to 12:30 in Cobb 310. This meeting will serve as an introduction to the workshop–who we are, what we do–and our plans for this year (bring ideas!). In addition, Jim Hodge (English) will present “Algorithms of History.” The paper will not be pre-circulated. Attendees are advised to read John Cayley’s poem “overboard” in advance on his website and to read his short essay “Overboard: An Example of Ambient Time-Based Poetics in Digital Art.”
