Comments: “The Department of Gender Studies announces a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship position in “Gender and Science” to begin August 2011. Successful candidates will demonstrate an emphasis in natural, social sciences, or the humanities and a clear commitment to interdisciplinary work. Focus could include the environment, health policy, technology, medicine, sexuality, and/or the theory, history, and practice of science. We welcome empirical, textual, and theoretical projects from a variety of fields and periods. Applicants should be no more than five years past the PhD and should have the PhD in hand by July 31, 2011. Teaching experience preferred. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to be in residence at the Gender Studies Department for the academic year and participate fully in the intellectual life of the department. Fellows will be expected to teach a 2/2 course load. The position includes a stipend of $40,000, benefits including health insurance coverage for the employee and their spouse or same-sex partner, office space, and clerical support.”
