Length: 1-12 months for short-term fellowships, 12-24 months for long-term fellowships.
Comments: Predoctoral applicants must be within two years of receiving PhD, and are only eligible for short-term fellowship; postdoctoral applicants must have recieved PhD no more than six years prior to April 1, 2013; apply in cooperation with a Japanese host institution; must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
