Tribune Calls Smart Museum Caves Exhibit a “must-visit”

The University research team and Smart Museum of Art exhibition Echoes of the Past: The Buddhist Cave Temples of Xiangtangshan received a glowing review from the Chicago Tribune. The culmination of seven years of research, the exhibition opened Sept. 30 and will remain on view until January 16. The exhibition combines majestic sixth-century Chinese Buddhist sculptures with digital components to reconstruct and contextualize damaged cave temples

“It’s difficult to say which is more impressive: the exhibit’s technology, or the material presented. Either way, it’s a must-visit.”   Read more about it here.
