About MAPH

The Master of Arts Program in the Humanities is a multidisciplinary Masters program at the University of Chicago. Students complete coursework  primarily in the Division of the Humanities as well as an MA thesis in less than one year.

The MAPH year is a whirlwind, sweeping up students’ time, energy, and sometimes sanity; it’s also incredibly fun, intellectually exciting, and usually life-changing. This blog is designed to help MAPHers navigate the year with body parts and cognitive functions (mostly) intact.
