Jackson, Travis

Travis A. Jackson spent the 2009–10 academic year on leave. During that time, he caught up on reading, put the finishing touches on Blowin’ the Blues Away (due out next year from the University of California Press), prepared reviews for Jazz Perspectives and The Du Bois Review, made significant progress on research for a book tentatively titled Post-Punk Sound and Vision: Empire, Pastiche, Primitivism (on popular music and graphic design in the UK between 1977 and 1984), and finished a stint working on several journals’ editorial boards. Back in residence in Hyde Park, he’ll continue work on the latest book project and focus attention on a backlog of essays and on emerging University/community partnerships.
