Philip Fried spent the summer as composer in residence to Opera Bob, a new company in the Twin Cities. He composed two arias for their Minnesota Fringe Festival show: “Secrets Revealed: Opera Bob Opens his Drawers.“ Philip has been commissioned to compose a one act opera for the company as well as the company’s theme song. He also completed his three act opera “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” based on the Hemingway short story which is under negotiation for production.
As a performer/composer/improviser Philip is back to New York City this season to perform at Music on MacDougal on October 28, and in March 2010 at the Cornelia Street Cafe Schizoid Concert Series curated by Frank Oteri.
His music composition web site is up and running again at Philfried.com
